How Worth the Load handles information when you visit this website. Last updated: 9 October 2026.

Who we are

This website is operated by Worth the Load, Kemp House, 160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic server logs — such as IP address, browser type, date and time, and the pages requested — to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Your cookie choice. We store your consent decision in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask you on every visit.
  • Analytics data, only if you consent: aggregated information about which pages are visited and how the site performs.
  • Advertising data, only if you consent: identifiers used by Google Ads to measure the results of our advertising and, where enabled, to show relevant adverts.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.

We do not offer accounts, we never ask for payment details and we have no access to your game accounts.

How and why we use it

We use technical data to run and protect the website (our legitimate interest in operating a secure service). We use analytics and advertising data only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We use the messages you send us to reply and to improve our coverage (our legitimate interest in responding to readers).

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the website, such as our hosting provider, and — if you consent — with Google as our analytics and advertising provider. We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some providers, including Google, may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data-protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an applicable adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Your consent choice stays in your browser until you clear it. Analytics and advertising data follow the retention periods set in the relevant Google services. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you can ask for access to your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, request a copy in a portable format and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website is written for adult readers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Please also read our Cookie Policy and Terms of Use.
